the HOW

A four week program, hybrid online and in-person. Moving in new ways to address old injuries, self-inquiry journaling, connecting to peers, and learning ways to bring better sleep, ease pain, and restore calm. These practices convert your athletic journey into a foundation of resources upon which you build the rest of your life.

THREE AND A HALF WEEKS ONLINE:


  • Three group yoga classes per week (early morning, can be flexible, screen-on participation)
  • Worksheets for each class with specific concepts 
  • Personal journaling for self-evaluation 
  • 1 individual meeting with Marina per week to address recurring themes 
  • Online library of video shorts outlining breath techniques and yoga posture basics
  • TWO MONTHS of full access to the entire library of Radical Yoga live and recorded classes


 ONE WEEKEND IN PERSON:


  • Three to four days, location dependent on participants 
  • Two yoga classes per day
  • Group work with peers (bring that notebook!)
  • Food and lodging included
  • Travel stipend available based on need

Everyone talks about ‘flow state.’ This is my way of entering that state. I notice it when I’m looking at emails or doing work. I’m focused on the action I’m taking in this moment. I have more engagement with the activities I do in my day-to-day. I’m not focused on what’s next. I’m not thinking about what’s going to happen. I’m just living life. My life is going on right now. It’s a practice. It’s effort. I just keep focusing on that and making my mind think in that way.

I can take 15 minutes and feel a real benefit. I got back to the notebook [Marina had us keep during the retreat] and reflect. I do that for 20 minutes and I feel a lot better than if I sit there and look at my phone. Moving forward, I want to be part of a community. I want to feel belonging. A community that’s bigger than what I’m trying to do. Where not everyone is trying to make the team. A community that can bring me back down to earth.
